My responsibility is to assess disabled clients in both their work place and their homes to then coordinate a programme of installed apparatus. Then, source the various mechanical and electrical aids and finally, oversee the installation process to ensure compliance, health and safety and end user satisfaction.
Liaise with various agencies and training providers to then design specialised learning programmes for hard to reach learners.
Install specialist trainers and create programmes including Schemes of Work with corresponding Lesson Plans.
Cost all the training requirements and deliver to County Council level end users.
Being guided by relevant and current NVQ guidelines, I created learner centred training Schemes of Work and dedicated Lesson Plans.
In 2001, I becale the Head of Department over Brickwork, Plastering and Civils at The Oldham College in Lancashire. I also initiated the NVQ Assessing programme for all the Construction areas within the college.
