  • Ran maths and literacy interventions for KS1 & 2
  • Ran Fine and gross motor skills groups for Early years and Key Stages 1 & 2
  • Ran 1:1 Speech and language support sessions for various children working closely with speech therapist, class teachers and parents.
  • Screened and assessed children from Early years through to KS2 for speech and language difficulties and various specific learning difficulties. Wrote reports based on the outcomes for teachers and parents and shared findings; recommending next steps where appropriate and delivering activities, resources, aides where needed.
  • Worked with the SENCo to develop a SEN hub alongside speech and language therapists, Educational Psychologists, Dyslexia tutors, Occupational Therapists to fully support and understand all pupils.
  • Assisted the SENCo in organising the SEN provision at the school: managing Teaching Assistants, meeting parents, therapists and diagnostic practitioners, managing the SEN hub and its diary, delivering training at Inset days, maintaining and organising SEN equipment, learning aids, intervention resources.
  • Supported children with sensory/physical and emotional needs on a 1:1 basis in the classroom and at play.
  • Wrote reports on intervention sessions, evaluating their success and adapting where necessary.
  • Supported children independence and learning by designing desk buddy packs for each child which included, work webs, task boards, NOW NEXT cards, Topic vocabulary mats, Traffic light help cards and general grammar / vocab mats.
  • Screened and supported EAL children with 1:1 sessions focussing on settling in to a new country and supporting with new vocabulary acquisition. Introducing EAL Support packs for our new EAL starters.

  • Prepared all paperwork for new referrals and review requests, including IEPs, observations and informal assessments.
  • Introduced Desk Buddy Packs for children to have in class. These included Task Boards, NOW NEXT Cards, Word webs, Topic Word mats, attention and listening reminder aides, traffic light help cards and general grammar/vocab mats.
  • Introduced Shape Coding to the children on my register who struggled with auxiliary words.
