  • When receiving/recording information ensure that it complies with National Standards and Force Policies with emphasis on a high level of data quality and compliance throughout all activities and being cognisant of data protection requirements.
  • Allocate Athena Investigations to the appropriate work tray in line with current force policies and procedures.
  • Identify intelligence based on the information provided and record appropriately using the national intelligence model framework.
  • Operate Storm, Athena, PNC and other relevant IT systems, where appropriate, in order to input, update, validate, retrieve and extract information where required.
  • Using agreed frameworks/assessments to influence decision making e.g. to file an Athena Investigation, to resolve an incident at first point of contact.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to both internal and external contact, ensuring feedback is delivered to staff, where required and appropriate.
  • Review incidents to assess suitability for closure in order to comply with NSIR, HOCR and NCRS
