In this role i manage a localised retirement housing service in accordance with the Housing Services Operational and Property Services Manuals to ensure that tenants receive a quality tenancy management and property maintenance service relating to the provision of their home. This is broken down into; regular inspections and ensuring any building defects are reported and progress is monitored; allocations and void management; testing of safety equipment and recording of data; tenancy management including offering advice to tenants on welfare benefits, debt management, rent payments in order to avoid rent arrears; managing any conflicts between tenants relating to the building/ any neighbour related issues; administration such as maintaining appropriate property, health and safety, tenant, staff and financial records, including IT systems; people management - managing and supporting any members of the staff team and any casual workers.
Mainly a computer system based role, this experience allows me to navigate new systems with ease. Frequent use of Microsoft Office, using Teams, Outlook for communication purposes and Word and Excel for report collation/ running macros.
