Although I am now retired and enjoying life in the slow lane, I still consider that I have experience and skills that I can offer the voluntary sector. I consider myself to be a dedicated individual who enjoys working more at the strategic level, than with fine detail. My recent voluntary work at Trinity School as an Advocate shows my commitment to supporting current educators. I have a history of strong, successful, transitional leadership, developing strategies and people. I enjoy problem solving and working alongside others to find solutions. Colleagues tell me that I communicate well, although I can be assertive in my opinions if I am passionate about a topic! I believe strongly that the experience that children enjoy as learners in Primary School, shapes them as learners for the future. I am keen to work alongside colleagues who have a similar desire to drive an organisation to offer the very best for the children and families in their care. I would consider that being a Trustee for ACE would offer that opportunity. With my desire to support the Trust to enhance educational outcomes and drive positive change in a challenging academic arena, I would hope that I would be considered an asset as a Trustee.
