Identifies shortcomings and suggests improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, then delivers a plan for a small element of a change management programme with guidance from a project/programme manager.
My academic background, current self-development in a variety of subjects, problem solving, administrative/ organisational skills, work experiences in a variety of organisations have given me edge to identify and appreciate shortcomings solely from the view of being able to provide pragmatic solutions in within established processes, systems, and procedures. My project and hands -on change management skills and techniques starting with lessons learnt through development of problem statement to root cause analysis, development of different levels of processes maps to highlight available options and dependencies to ensure feasible comprehensive solutions to remove and resulting blockers and impediments.
I have good knowledge of Six Sigma (Yellow belt) DMAIC processes as part of the strategic planning thinking, planning skills and this will ensure a definition by clearly pronouncing the business problem/shortcoming, able to measure its impact on the overall deliverable. I understand the stage where the specification of the problem is measured so that when a solution is ultimately provided in the short to medium run based on complexity, the measure will objectively determine the level of improvement. In my current project manager/engagement lead role, I ensure the analysis stage is where the associated problems and dependencies are identified, validated and the root causes selected for elimination. This is where I usually employ tools like the fish-bone diagram which is quite helpful in identifying the entire problems and able to determine solutions.
In my delivery roles I engage business leads and other stakeholders to test and implement solution to the problem in a sequential manner to remove blockers through elimination of the root causes and prevent process problems. This is where I initiate brainstorming meetings, progress updates and reports including dashboards to show improvements and receive guidance and feedbacks from senior delivery leads and programme managers when required. I also create opportunities brainstorm with team members on solutions to address challenges and able to take influence behaviour cross-team and cross-discipline within the project on/offshore teams.
