I have been with PlusNet now for over a year and I have developed and refined several key skills of mine within being here that i can use in future jobs. For example, my listening skills have developed as well as my communication skills. I have shown this by making sure I ask each customer the correct questions in order to assess what products would be best for them and in order to upsell.


My main responisibilities involve handling customer data and using my great communication skills when selling and interacting with customers. I often do tend to come across some challenging situations , for example customer that have been dissatisfied or are having problems with things like billing related. My role also is to enable that I can resolve these type of customer dissatisfactions and complaints to the best of my ability to ensure that the customer does not face this again. I also like to go an extra mile for customers by using effective communication methods to build good rapport between myself and the customers, therefore enabling the relationship of trust where the customer can ensure that I will be providing them with the best service possible and will be going above and beyond for them to make sure they are happy with what they have been offered.

Working as a crew member at one of the busiest McDonalds stores in Leeds was very challenging and was out of my comfort zone. I started off as a crew member where I would often find myself multi tasking depending on how busy the business was and if they had the correct amount of staff working. I gained many skills while working in such a challenging environment such as Teamwork skills and time management skills as I was often working at different stations with having learnt everything really and picking up the work within being there in the first week.


When working in the kitchen and being around food i often found that we were very much under pressure all the time as we had to always make sure we worked under a fast pace and were always timed on how quickly we had to prepare the food also ensuring the quality of the food is to what the customer would expect.


Due to the fact that I was doing really well for the business and was always rewarded by managers I was then promoted 6 months into my role and went from a crew member to a crew trainer. As a crew trainer i went from working in the kitchen and preparing food as well as packing drinks to training new members on different stations and became a lot more flexible as every day was different depending on where i was needed. I also started to deal with customer complaints a lot more and took more ownership as well as started to take customers orders and assist the managers when needed.

Working as a order taker enabled me to speak to different customers every day with my communication skills making sure I was noting down the correct orders and was ensuring that I was also providing great customer service experience for the customer by making sure I was taking the order as efficiently and smooth as possible. By doing this it was giving a good business reputation as we were often getting brilliant reviews.

Volunteer

St Gemma's Hospice - 


While working at PlusNet I got the opportunity to do some volunteering to help out in the community which involved in me taking part in activities such as making different packs such as food and clothes . 


During high school I also supported the charity where I took part in a marathon to raise money for the hospice which I the received a certificate and got an opportunity to take a photo with the staff .


British Heart Foundation- 


I got the opportunity to raise money for the British Heart Foundation where I took part in stalls raising altogether over £400 for the charity  just by selling products such as food and drinks.

Also took part in raising money around Christmas for those children who were not fortunate enough to receive Christmas presents due to circumstances .
