I am Salati Uiti and I am currently working as a Youth Justice Social Worker for Oranga Tamariki - Ministry for Children in the Wellington Region. I enjoy working in a team environment and am passionate about working with rangatahi, supporting them and their whānau through the youth justice process, to reduce or stop our rangatahi from offending and working towards becoming positive members of their community.

I have a genuine love for exploring other cultures as well. To broaden my cultural understanding, I had the privilege of working with homeless individuals in South Africa, Cape Town. This experience not only enriched my understanding of cultural nuances but also honed my ability to empathize with a wide range of people.

My interests are as diverse as my experiences. Football has been a lifelong passion of mine, not only as a spectator but also as a vehicle for community engagement. I find solace in the pages of books, and my curiosity extends to the analysis of football statistics, allowing me to dive deeper into the intricacies of the game.

In addition to my personal pursuits, I am also devoted to giving back to the community through charitable endeavors. This commitment stems from my belief that poisitive change can be sparked throguh collective efforts, and as a social worker, this philosohpy resonates deeply with me.
