• Worked as part of a team of automation engineers to design electrical equipment for Copeland's factory. The process would begin by designing the electrical panel using AutoCAD Electrical, and then the pricing of components needed to complete the task. Electrical panels would then be assembled, and the PLC would then be programmed. Electrical panel and components would be tested to required safety standard.
• Provide support to maintenance team
• Complete modifications to current plant equipment to improve the efficiency of the current plant
• Managed documentation efforts related to the design, installation, and operation of automated systems, ensuring accurate records were maintained for future reference.
• Use of PID tuning, SCADA and understanding of communication protocols such as Profibus and Profinet. Wiring and setting up of VFDs. Knowledge of ladder, FBD, Structured text and Instruction list PLC programming languages.

Gained experience of programming PLCs and programming controllers for use in food storage chills. Fault finding involving multimeters, insulation testers and oscilloscopes. Soldering printed circuit board components. Experience of maintenance of steam boilers, domestic boilers and thermal fluid system. Maintenance of water treatment plant including maintaining submersible pumps and calibrating pH probes to control pH of water. Planned and organised repairs for faulty production equipment repairs, independently fixing minor problems. Efficiently executed shut downs for planned maintenance.
