  • Wedmore First School- My role at Wedmore First School mainly consists of supporting two SEND students. One of which has autism and ADHD, who displays challenging behaviour towards other children and adults. I also work one-to-one with a 6 old year who originally comes from Ukraine, he deals which PTSD and needs extra support as English is not his first language.
  • Lyde Green Primary school, Bristol – My role as a teaching assistant, was based in a special school with children with severe autism ages 4-6.
  • Bedminster Down Secondary School – This role included working one-on-one with a 15 year old male that would display challenging behaviour.
  • Longwell Green Primary School – My role at Longwell Green was to work as a teaching assistant with a year two class, but working specifically with 4 pupils that had autism and behavioural/anger issues. I would support sensory breaks and activities, such as play dough, clay and provide educational support through creative activities.
  • Stanton Drew Primary School – Working one-to-one with a SEN student as well as being a general TA across the whole school, working with key stage 1,2, and 3.

INTERESTS:

Dance: I have a keen interest in the art of dance which requires a high level of dedication and motivation, I have performed at Weston Playhouse three times and I have taken up to five dance examinations which involves having to perform in front of three judges with strict rules and requirements. I have also performed fire spinning at Glastonbury Festival in 2018 and 2019, participating in the opening ceremony of the festival., Music: Having performed in front of a number of audiences in a number of locations I have built confidence in myself. Part of my college course at Weston-Super-Mare, was to perform to an audience every week., Circus: I have a keen interest in circus skills, having skills in juggling, hula hooping, fans and staff. Fire spinning and LED performance. I was the founder of the Circus Society in Bath Spa University for a year.

VOLUNTEER WORK

  • Glastonbury Festival, Pilton, Somerset, Secret Garden Party Festival, Cambridge, Events Creative Artist (VOLUNTEER), 2014, 2022, Working in a team of over twenty, we were responsible to help create a sacred garden for people to relax and enjoy. The garden included a handmade structure made of willow, a yurt with material hand threaded throughout the inside, a fire pit surrounded by handmade wooden chairs and benches., Working to maintain high quality vegetarian food to fellow camping staff throughout the day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Learning skills and tips for outdoor cooking from the kitchen leader., Developing my creativity, stamina and communication skills, volunteering at Glastonbury was physically challenging but mentally rewarding.
