  • Provided care for 9 individuals with mental and physical disorders including; varying levels and severity of autism and memory related issues. Assisting with personal care, everyday activities, offsite excursions and medication.
  • Administration of medicine to individuals up to three times daily, including controlled medicines and emergency prescriptions.
  • Aided in implementation of care plans (PBSP) as well as completing mental capacity forms for each resident.
  • Took on a senior role/ team leader whilst management were away. This included running shifts without back up on site, administering medication, ensuring staff and resident safeguarding, liaising with the activity coordinator to allow offsite excursions to carry on and with parents for phone calls/ visitation. Another part of running shift meant that I would have to run incidents when they occurred, these would often involve aggression or physical violence.
  • Experienced challenging situations throughout each shift, being physically attacked and ensuring safety throughout each resident and staff.
