I am a fully qualified teacher of Physical Education, delivering the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. I am passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where all pupils feel supported and motivated. Throughout my high school education, I was actively involved in gymnastics and netball, both as a player and a coach, which has further strengthened my passion for sport and teaching.
During my time at Wester Hailes High School, I taught a wide range of classes from S1-S5, delivering engaging and structured lessons across multiple sports and activities. I led the S3 Elective classes, I created the content for theory and built a consistent weekly routine that supported their transition and preparation for National 5 PE.
I have been responsible for teaching a full timetable with responsibilities for BGE classes, academy class, Health and Wellbeing, Health and Nutrition, National 5 and NPA Sports Development. I was the lead teacher of NPA Level 6 Sports Development and was responsible for setting and marking class work. Throughout the year I worked alongside the pupils within the enhanced support base. This was to give them the opportunity to enjoy PE in what they value as a safe environment and build up their confidence.
I taught a wide range of sports to BGE classes, delivered national 4 and national 5 PE. I was involved in both National 5 and Higher Marking for PE. While marking I have worked collaboratively with an SQA marker and assessment reviewer ensuring my marking is in line wth SQA standards.
