I am a highly driven individual with a proactive approach well-suited for taking on roles amongst fellow high-achieving individuals. I am looking to gain experience in the legal field which I hope to move into. My ability to work well in high-pressurised situations demonstrated by doing four A Levels and work well to solve problems both individually and as part of a team makes me believe that the legal industry would not just be something I could do, but something I would really enjoy to do and consequently thrive in.
I spent a week as a paid intern at PwC whereby I gained an insight into the professional services industry including the different departments such as tax, audit, deals, consultancy and technology.
I worked for a week at Bracher Rawlins and briefly explored different types of law including corporate, litigation and property whilst placing a particular emphasis on Employment Law. This involved attending client meetings, drafting documents including settlement agreements and taking calls from clients.
Following the completion of my lifeguard training course and gaining my RLSS Qualification, I worked at Withington Baths for just under two months with my responsibilities ranging from obviously managing the pool to working on reception and engaging in the cleaning duties.
I worked as a waiter in a very busy, local restaurant in Keswick with my responsibilities ranging from taking and serving orders to helping with cleaning duties whilst ensuring a high quality standard of service.
History - I won both the Year 11 and Year 13 History prize at my school and I also came runner up in the John Locke History essay prize whilst being commended for my effort in the Julia Wood essay prize.
Football - I won the Bentwood prize for football in my final year at school marking my efforts for the school first team and have continued to play for the university football club at Durham. Whilst in sixth-form I also played in the age-group teams for Altrincham football club, a national league side.
I helped with an initiative to teach French to children from lower socio-economic backgrounds in Manchester at All Saints Primary School.
