I am a current part time university student at the university of Bristol studying maths and on the look for a part time job to fund my studies. To whomever this may reach I can offer experience working with people in high pressure environments, a skill learnt during my stint as a football referee from when I was 17 up until the present. During this stint I officiated teams of players significantly older than me meaning that I am able to now diligently interact with clients and deal with potentially hostile environments. Whilst never having worked in hospitality specifically I am a keen and quick learner and have had a significant role in food preparation during my youth being the oldest sibling in a household with younger siblings. I am also very reliable and punctual and have taken every job I have previously had seriously especially due to my previous occupation me being the only professional present I have learnt to act accordingly and lead an event like a football match with mature leadership.
I worked part time during the summer of 2024 as a babysitter for a family friend who needed their 7 year old child looking after whilst they were busy with work. Again this taught me take responsibility for a role of great importance.
Since two summers ago I have worked on and off as a referee for amateur football matched across all age ranges. This experience greatly aided my ability to deal with high pressure environments and hostile clients/subjects. It was a role of great responsibility as the safety of the players and crowd control was my responsibility.
