I believe my experience in work and education has given me good communication and leadership skills. I have always had to work as part of a team in high-pressure situations (Group projects or weekend shifts while studying). From this, I have learned about the importance of personal relations in teams and knowing the sensitivities and priorities of different individuals what they need to be their best and how I best work with them. I feel I can understand situations well and see what I can do to improve them through communication, hard work and understanding a team, partner or customer.
My experience WWOOFing (Volunteering on an organic farm) in the Netherlands during my university vacation was a very important experience for my skillset, experience and personality. Working alone in a foreign country was extremely interesting, and living with Marion and Adrie was a great experience. It required resilience as it was hard agricultural labour that i had never done before, and i wasn't paid for my services so it was motivated purely by the beauty of their mission and the experience that it gave me, this gave me an intrinsic love of the work and a realisation that my passion is key to my career. I also had to manage the fusion of the personal relationships i had with them with the professional responsibility and service that i had on their land. I had to look after their land when they went away on a trip visiting family, giving me great responsibility and requiring good and proper organisation of their property, their farm and its routines and procedures. Overall it was an amazing experience which sculpted me into a hard worker with a vision for a career which revolves around passion and working with people.
