During my time at Allerton Steel my main responsibilities include managing the process on the Voortman V310 and V304 so that the material is prepared to the required specification. This involves plasma bevelling and oxy cutting, ripping, drilling, countersink and prepping steel plates and using the overhead cranes.
I am also required to operate the shot blaster, stock and help manage the RTS consumable computer system, move material using the vac lift, shunter, forklift an side loader. Unload and distribute deliveries to the relevant locations. I consistently adhere to health and safety regulations.
Some of my responsibilities in the role of butcher were preparing fresh meat products to high standard for sale, making a variety of hand produced high quality sausages and burgers, offering customers advice with regards to purchasing, preparation and cooking of different meat products. I also served customers and maintained cleanliness of the shop and machinery.
