I worked at Margaret Laurie House 24/7 unit in Reigate a part of Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust for the rehabilitation of people with Mental health issues, psychosis and bipolar plus other issues including physical of which I used my observational skills working to support working age adults back into the community after a period of time in our 24/7 unit. Patients received from myself and others person centered care and structure while in our services to support patients in all areas of their lives both in the unit with ongoing Care Plans for their mental and physical health and support in the community. Regular MDT meetings and important communication with other staff was key to the smooth running of the unit. I had Health and Safety duties involving the environment and made regular checks of the unit car. Ongoing mandatory staff training.

I have considerable experience of working directly with people and patients as a Nursing Assistant on a 1-1 basis for both their mental health and physical health in a 24/7 unit of 12 beds. I understand the importance of accuracy, good observational skills and the importance of very good communication with other health professionals for the smooth running of the ward and for patient welfare and that trust and reassurance when needed with patients is also very important. I understand deadlines to complete certain work and am very thorough with my work ethic and take my responsibilities seriously.
