As a Veterinary Nurse I am involved in many areas of the practice. Providing a high standard of care to a variety of companion animals in routine and emergency care.

Whilst I enjoy all aspects of my job I particularly enjoy nurse clinics and Anaesthesia.

• Delivered compassionate nursing care to hospitalised animals, monitoring their recovery post-operation.
• Managed stock levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, ensuring timely orders to support continuous care.
• Conducted diagnostic tests, prepared animals for surgery, and provided calming support during x-rays and lab procedures.
• Educated people on appropriate animal treatment and care.
• Managed appointments and maintained accurate medical records for all patients, ensuring confidentiality.
• Cleaned cages, equipment and clinical areas for optimal hygiene.
• Prepared and stocked appointment rooms prior to scheduled patient visits to verify supply availability and avoid treatment delays.
• Prepared patient accommodations by ensuring cleanliness and readiness, facilitating a smooth transition for incoming animals.
• Medical nursing of inpatients including fluid therapy, administering prescribed medication, wound care and general husbandry.
