2000 - 2001 - Office Junior gained NVQ in Business Administration
2001 - 2002 - Uninsured Loss Recovery Department, dealing with Defendant insurers to recovery our insurer client's vehicle loss outlay and the client's uninsured losses.
2002 - 2004 - Uninsured Loss Recovery Department, Search Team. This role was to identify and locate untraced Defendant's.
2004 - 2006 - Front End/First Notification Personal Injury Team. Telephone role, handling new personal injury claims, taking full detailed information regarding the accident circumstances and injury details prior to acceptance of the claim.
2006-2010 - Personal Injury Case Build Team. This position was to gather information/evidence prior to the case being transferred to the settlement team, submission of Letters of Claim to the Defendant, instructing medico legal appointments and collating the client's claim for special damages, loss of earnings etc .
2010 - 2014 - Motor (MOJ) Portal Claims handler. Submitting Claims Notification Forms to Defendant insurers, collating medical evidence in support of the client's injuries, arranging any relevant treatment needs, finalising the client's claim for special damages and ultimately resolving the claim .
2014 - 2020 - Motor (MOJ) Portal Claims Supervisor. Duties remained within my previous role however with a supervisor element of a small team of claims handlers, answering technical queries, auditing claims.
2020 - present - Motor (MOJ) Portal Claims Manager.
As a Motor Portal Claims Manager I oversee a team of claims handlers.
- Managing a small team
- Client case load of approximately 200 from outset to settlement
- Dealing with a large volume of incoming calls
- Dealing with emails and correspondence within policy deadlines
- Assisting team members with technical queries e.g. valuations on a case, medical evidence reviews
