Summary

I am a second year resident doctor, who has undertaken roles within a tertiary hospital, encompassing many different specialties. I have helped effectively initiate treatment and management of patient's with multiple co-morbidities, ensuring patient-centred care is always at the forefront of my clinical decision making.

I consider myself a highly motivated Resident Doctor with clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. Familiar with performing diagnostic procedures, providing patient education and working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

My aspirations are to become a cardiologist, having actively participated in cardiovascular research and wanting to expand and increase my understanding of cardiovascular medicine to become a more comprehensive and skilled physician, which I can carry forth into a long and rewarding career as a Consultant Cardiologist.

Quality Improvement and Audit

  • Helped audit the implementation of novel techniques used in the treatment of therapeutic refractory atrial fibrillation. Analysed patient data to determine the efficiency of new techniques to help improve patient outcomes and turnover for the leading cardiac arrhythmia.
  • Undertaking an audit into the management/implementation of cholesterol reducing medications in patients who have established CVD or at their first presentation to determine whether current SIGN/NICE guidance is being adhered to within the NHS Grampian population.
  • Pefromed a QI project investigating the efficacy and efficiency of a paediatric out-patient intravenous medicines service. Analysed the time of admission, to insertion of a peripheral venous catheter. Established the need for topical anaesthetic, distraction techniques and preparedness of the patient and impact on the service. Presented at the paediatric M&M meeting in September 2025.
