Leadership and Management:

Whilst working for the police during the last 20 years I have constantly shown excellent leadership skills. I have experience of working on my own, as well as working in small and large teams. I have also shown excellent management skills whilst working as a Policing Inspector and a Sergeant. I also have shown excellent leadership skills whilst educating the police force in new force procedures.

I previously owned Evolution Football Coaching before selling the company for a personal profit, a developed football coaching company, which operated in the North-East.

I have experience of business development, advertising, sales, customer service, management, business strategy and marketing including direct and social media. I managed 20 members of staff who are professionals in their field.

Teamwork and Communication:

I work well within a team and on my own, not only within the police force but also within a local authority-based environment. I can fit into any team and strive to be a valuable member. My teamwork skills were evident when my colleagues and I was awarded the Royal Humane Society awards for saving a man’s life.

I have managed policing teams as a Sgt and as an Inspector managing up to 20 police officers. I am responsible for a particular area of Durham Police managing daily risk and demand, whilst serving the public and keeping them safe.

I have excellent communication skills and can adapt my skills and personality to fit any given situation. I am a trained Hostage and crisis negotiator and have advanced communication skills with the ability to influence people’s thoughts and behaviour.

Problem Solving and decision making:

I have excellent decision-making skills and I am required on a day-to-day basis to make quick and decisive decisions to solve a wide range of problems. I absorb information quickly allowing me to analyse and respond effectively and efficiently.

I have the ability to review demand and problems and come up with ways to reduce demand and solve problems quickly.

I.T:

Competent user of computer programmes, including Microsoft Office.

I currently use a variety of computer programmes and tutor new staff in the use of

these systems.

Within the police the administration is computer based and I use many different systems and information recording systems daily.

I have experience of developing my own databases and inputting data as part of the

day to day running of my previous company.

Planning and prep:

Previously as the coaching director of my own business I planned and tested different coaching

philosophies to deliver to my coaching staff who then deliver to children to maximize the potential and development.

I have experience in planning and delivering marketing strategies to maximise the potential reach of my business advertising.

I have excellent time management skills which are tested daily whilst delivering the policing service and the risk and vulnerabilities of the public and prioritising my daily tasks to achieve relevant outcomes.
