Summary

I'm a father to two children, Joseph(13) and Jessica(8). In my time off I enjoy training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and enjoy outdoor activities such as paddle boarding, camping and mountain biking. I've been constantly employed since leaving school and worked weekend jobs prior. At the age of 16 I wanted to work with cars, but unfortunately found myself unable to get an apprenticeship so ended up working mainly office jobs. As a result, in my time off I taught myself how to repair my own vehicles by reading Haynes manuals to enable me to pursue my passion. I found myself working various jobs, but enjoyed my role as a van driver more than any of the others, being out and about is something I enjoy. I found as I got older I needed a more secure job with prospects so left, eventually working as a civil servant. Over the years I became in a groundhog situation whereby I didn't enjoy my role any more. I was offered voluntary redundancy in May 2016 and started my own business as we where planning a baby. In 2017 my daughter Jessica was born, so I could run my business around caring for her. I still run my business but as its seasonal work and I no longer have the care responsibilities I did this vacancy fits me perfect and I feel I can offer a lot to the role. I do enjoy working alone but after nearly 10 years I would be lying if I said I didn't miss the workplace atmosphere and being part of a team. Thank you for taking the time to read.
