Job Description:

The Pre -Operations Team Member 2 role is to support Pre - Operations delivery through:

• Input O&M learning into project processes.
• Delivery of Pre - Operations work scope.
• Support proactive and balanced approach to Safety.
• Authoring Working Level Instructions.
• Validating Working Level Instructions.
• Reporting progress and issues.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Delivery of allocated Pre - Operations work-scope and meeting deadline dates.
• Supporting MSc/Sub committees when required.
• Support delivery of disciplined operations and maintenance.
• Deliver Pre - Operations documentation activities through generation and control of working level instructions including operator instructions, alarm response instructions, emergency operating instructions and maintenance instructions etc.
• May hold nominated roles.

Job Description / Principal Accountabilities:

• Roles at this level perform ‘hands on' operation of plant equipment, also monitoring facility via DCS from control room to ensure safe operation of plant, responding to alarms and carrying out variety of operational tasks against defined operation instructions, to deliver targets in safe and timely manner.
• Trends are commonly used to determine potential urgency of situations and as information gathering tool.
• Communicating effectively with others, both in control room and personnel working on plant (via telephone and faxes), giving and receiving instructions, using three-way communication and recording important data in logbook for shift activity and handovers.
• Following operator instructions, and highlighting any deficiencies when dated and/or, no longer fit for purpose.
• Actively participate in both pre and post job briefs, using knowledge from previous tasks/operations and also acknowledging when there is room for improvement, when operations may not go exactly to plan.
• Having healthy unease kind of attitude and therefore carrying out peer checking, having eye for detail and prioritising workloads.
