• i began my time at swift group on 4th Jan 1994
• i started as a paint sprayer repairing all kind of exterior damage on the end of the production lines and in PDP despatch
• after so many years i went on to the production line on motor homes applying graphics and also helping out the exterior gang and eventually becoming full time exterior
• after several years as an exterior on the motor home line it was then closed down due to the lack of demand and i was moved to Hedon Road Holiday Homes into the exterior gang tinning the sides
• after around 3 years on holiday homes i was approach by Andrew Mason a then senior manager if i would come back to Cottingham site to help reduce the amount of the paint damaged vans building up , i returned for 2 months , then returned back to Hedon road. After so many months i was asked again but after so many weeks this time i was asked if i would come back permanently. After a few more weeks i was then approach by Andy to see if i would like to become team leader and take more pressure of himself . I accepted this offer and took the role on and bringing the damaged van numbers down massively
• After several years i was approached by Mick France a senior production manager if i would like to become the paint shop production manager to which i jump at the opportunity and still in this role
• while doing this role i have
• Overseen continuous improvement initiatives to drive gains in quality, flow and output. reviewed and analysed performances and requirements to maximise the output and quality and achieved targets required , helped coach my employees in developing and achieving good performances and goals . took control of all material and tooling requirements required. found new products to improve quality and become more efficient ,
• also while in the role i had taken on replying to quotations sent in by customers and dealers for warranty claims which i believe has helped bring down the yearly paint warranty bill for the company and also taken on more work for the department as the company grew and moved into more areas in the leisure and holiday business when going into panel van and conversions

started Trenton Renault as a YTS car mechanic and was eventually taken on in the bodyshop removing car parts on major car damage

while in this role i was trained by Renault to become a

panel beater / sprayer

windscreen fitter

water ingress resolver

coach liner

insurance assessor for crash jobs and dealing with the customers and insurance companies
