From around 2004/5 i started helping my partner Lynne who worked on the bar do relief holiday cover at the Kimberley Miners Welfare for John and Dee I also joined the Committee and became Chairman for a few years organising bingo, events and entertainment On many occasions i did relief cover for John at the New Inn in Newthorpe while he was on holiday

In 2011 when the Kimberley Miners closed i took on the full time position of Bar Manager at the Golden Guinea in Kimberley working for Derek Johnson who was the Landlord This was a Greene King Public House and in the short time i was there i won two awards from Greene King for customer service and satisfaction

In September 2013 myself and my spouse Lynne took on the roles of Steward and Stewardess at the Heanor Miners Welfare Trust and i was Steward up until september this year when unfortunatly our marriage broke down and i resigned from my position at the club

I am fully experienced in all cellar duties including line cleaning and maintenence I am also fully trained in the new Innserve Smart system which was recently installed at the Heanor Miners, also Stock control and ordering and liasing with company reps to get the best possible deals available, Staff Management, end of night reports and staff wages/ artist payments

In the twelve years i was working at the Heanor Miners i would like think we brought the club a long way The membership increased from around 500 to over 700 I put a lot of my own experience into the club, ie Music Videos all conected via HDMI to all the televisions in the club, also new lighting and sound systems,outdoor Christmas lighting and also Powerpoint Presentations on the screens showing exactly what events were happening at the club

It was a shame i had to leave the Heanor Miners as i loved the club and members that we had built up

If you would consider me for this position at your club i would put the same commitment into The Greasley Miners as i did at my former club
