Work History

Design Support Analyst

Sainsbury’s/Argos
01.2018 - Current
  • Over the past year I designed, delivered, and fully trained out a completely refreshed Food to Order (FTO) ‘as‑is’ process, including a detailed SOP and full process map.
  • This provided a reliable contingency approach for the year and future events, and the process is now faster, more accurate, and produces richer data outputs, improving operational visibility.
  • The revised process contributed to a 9% reduction in broken promises and a 37% reduction of wastage as a percentage of store stock post‑event year‑on‑year.
  • Several pieces of feedback from forums such as Fresh Huddle, Christmas PIR, and SCT Spotlight reflect that these contributions have been recognised and valued at a wider business level with the Supply Chain Delivery being described as “the best year ever for food to order”.

BU Analyst (Fresh Meal Solutions)

Sainsbury’s/Argos
01.2018 - Current
  • I managed the supply chain journey and the day‑to‑day and event forecast for Meal Sub‑Categories.
  • In my year in role, all Sub‑Categories saw an improvement in sales and availability metrics, despite system transitions and external challenges.
  • As a Change Champion, I operated as a central point of feedback for BU Analysts on the Blue Yonder changeover and supported the SCOT team in overhauling FAQs and the Support Hub.
  • I provided key support in the largest ever Supers MSR, spotting data errors that would have had a significant impact on a large number of stores and establishing a coordinated approach and review for Fresh as a whole.
  • I was recipient of two quarterly Fresh Supply Chain awards in recognition of teamwork.

Project Support Manager (Supply Chain Transformation)

Sainsbury’s/Argos
01.2018 - Current
  • I formulated and maintained the SKU‑level rollout plan to deliver volume within technology and business constraints, forming and gaining approval on a coherent go‑live plan from external partners and Heads Of based on a fixed end delivery date, tech constraints, user impact and customer impact.
  • I built and maintained a Gantt project planning model with a live dependency engine and used it while chairing a weekly Scrum meeting with the Heads of Supply Chain Transformation prior to pilot go‑live.
  • Working alongside the Change Team I gained agreements on timescales and response SLA’s and developed outputs for updates to Heads of Supply Chain.
  • I ran the first three weeks of triage following pilot go‑live as a solo activity, building and managing the triage team process in that time and training out to the UAT team while learning Microsoft Power Automate to automate administrative tasks and alerts.

Product Flow Planner

Argos
01.2018 - Current
  • I was responsible for managing the flow of Stocked‑In product from port to regional distribution centre and for forming the workload forecast for DC container intake and pallet distribution.
  • In this central role I collaborated and influenced decisions with colleagues in DC, Merchandising, Landside Operations, Central Planning, A&R and Stores and headed several cross‑functional workstreams, developing processes and tools used across teams.
  • I managed the Stocked‑In element of Kettering’s launch as an RDC for Project Cologne, exceeding targets and expectations by opening with greater availability than existing RDCs.
  • Working with Merchandising.
  • In my first 18 months in role I helped reduce the average container dwell time on quay by 43%.

Supply Chain Operations – Contract Manager

Network Rail
09.2009 - 01.2017
  • I overhauled scrap recovery processes and recordkeeping, delivering c60% time efficiency and enabling the team to revisit the prior financial year’s data to recover £1.2m of aged debt.

Assistant Route Management Accountant (Anglia Route)

Network Rail
09.2009 - 01.2017
  • I delivered a cross‑business forecast of engineering impact to profitability and introduced a Nationally adopted process for project off‑charging costs (worth over £200m pa), increasing recoveries by 38% and saving around 72 working days per annum.

Schedule 4 Contract Manager

Network Rail
09.2009 - 01.2017
  • I managed a team of four Contract Assistants tailoring their coaching and providing development with two of my team progressing on to management roles themselves.
  • I was responsible for the delay compensation accounts for five Train Operating Companies worth over £25m per annum.
  • I analysed drivers of timetable changes and payment allocation and acted as a key contact on contractual interpretation and negotiation.
