As part of the due diligence and security investigations team, I conducted in-depth research and analyses on individuals and businesses. I utilised open-source intelligence, compliance and identification databases, and primary-source corporate and legal information databases. Using translation tools I was able to access and translate information in multiple languages, using the appropriate software to access information in restrictive jurisdictions. I provided our clients with enhanced due diligence reports and risk based assessments on potential counterparties.
As a board of trustees member for Women Youth and Kids Empower I have helped develop the human rights organisation that promotes human rights education for women and youth in regions affected by conflict. My role is research-focused in staying up to date on international and domestic policy surrounding education, as well as UN initiatives that promote education equality. I also contribute to the lesson plan building for creating the human rights-based courses that will be implemented when the organisation is fully functioning.
I collaborated with the legal team on cases and hearings concerning tactics, evidence, and approaches. I successfully prepared legal documents and case briefs in a timely and organised manner. Participated in the Transatlantic Security Burch Field Seminar through Vesalius College in Brussels, Belgium. My research focused on the promise and limits of international organizations. Working closely with experts from the EU, the UN, NATO, and the EEAS I analysed transatlantic security and the inner workings of the policy process involved in international law during a pivotal moment in history. I successfully conducted independent research on the effects of Brexit on transatlantic trade and relations, the possibility of the EU becoming a global defense actor, and the comparison of the treatment of Syrian refugees versus Ukrainian refugees during both crises and climate change as a global security threat. I also won the UNC Global policy brief contest for my policy proposal to NATO for the implementation of war games into their cyber security training programs.
