My previous and current studies/work experience, in a variety of roles both sporting and non-sporting, has allowed me to develop and evolve many different skills including my organisational, analytical, thoroughness in completing tasks and both verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Completing a variety of work experience alongside my studies requires me to be highly motivated, hard working and dedicated, showing my ability to work under pressure to complete both work experience and University work, to a high level, in fast paced settings.
I have managed to gain knowledge and understanding of different areas within Sport and Medicine, by attending different courses, working with high level coaches and athletes, and reaching out to different people to ask questions to further expand my knowledge. Furthermore, my enthusiasm and good interpersonal skills effectively allow me to do this, which is essential for working in Multidisciplinary teams within Sports and Medicine.
While at home, I help coached at Long Melford U15, U16, and now U18. However, whilst at Loughborough University, I worked alongside other coaches to manage the Loughborough University 3s, as well as help coach the Loughborough University All Stars team.
For my general maintenance role, I carried out different jobs where the client required. This included cutting down trees, painting or cleaning gutters for example.
While volunteering in Thailand for two weeks, I spent the first week at a local school, teaching educating the children on topics they do not get as much exposure to in every day education.
During the second week, I spent time in an Elephant Sanctuary assisting with looking after rescue Elephants that have suffered from torture and animal slavery. This included feeding and washing them for example.
