I grew up in my local town of Croesyceiliog in which I attended both my primary and secondary schools. In both I have taken part in challenges and tests which saw me gain skills and qualifications that I can transfer with me into my future. In my second year of comprehensive school I participated in the UKMT Grey kangaroo maths challenge in which I surpassed the first round, gaining a silver badge, and then got my level of qualification from my participation in the final round. In my last 2 years of secondary school I also participated and completed my DofE Bronze certificate.
Once I had left my secondary school I set my eyes on college to better my skillset. I am currently studying mathematics and geography, in which I both have a passion for. During my time in college, I participated in the Brilliant Club, where I was one of the few to be selected. This entailed me to gain the knowledge and experience on my designated topic, physics, and have the experience of writing university level essays. Which allowed me to complete the course with a 2:1 and visit Oxford University to collect my certificate. Whilst in college I was given the unbelievable experience to partner with Challenges Abroad, in which I travelled to India to complete. We volunteered in a local school in Palampur for 2 weeks, where we had to run workshops which we had planned and made resources for, the topics included, maths, English, space and farming.
