FREYA SOLEY

• My personal fine art and creative brand showcasing original work with a strong focus on screen printing, visual storytelling and experimental design.
• The brand highlights a hands-on creative process, blending traditional printmaking techniques with contemporary artistic expression.
• Through collaborations with other creatives and start up collectives MoreOf.freya explores shared ideas, community, and cross disciplinary art-making.
• Using Social media platforms such as Instagram and Tik Tok to document, promote, and connect, offering insight into works-in-progress, finished pieces, and creative collaborations.
• The MoreOf.freya website serves as a curated digital archive, presenting completed projects, collaborative work, and the evolving identity of the brand.

• Work with a small close-knit team.
• Fully trained, managing groups of staff and waiting to 10 + tables at one time.
• I work Front of house taking orders and serving customers as well as behind the bar.

I completed a one-day workshop with Sadie Jewellery, a Cornwall-based jeweller, where I learned the foundations of jewellery making. The experience sparked a deeper excitement for jewellery, design, and development, and strengthened my interest in working with materials through a hands-on, process-led approach. By the end of the day I had made a bezel set necklace with detailing around the bezel as well as a simple ring using sterling silver.

• 2 Day work experience with Mark Soley, learning about the jewellery trade, shadowing him to meetings, collecting precious pieces and talking to other jewellers who worked in the studio space next door.
• I was also tasked to take images of the jewellery for their social media pages and website.
• This was really helpful as I was able to learn about what makes a good set up, specific lighting and quality of images which are acceptable to be published.

• Was invited to join Maria Komparetto assisting her on her shoot for an advertisement video for a new hotel called Nomads London.
• I was tasked to take models to makeup rooms and get them changed into their outfits ready for the shoot.
• As well as this I shadowed Maria watching how she works whilst asking lots of questions.
• I was also given some time to watch the media team and how they run as this is something I am also interested in.
