Summary

A recent graduate from the University of Dundee with a first class honours in Scots Law and English Law (Dual Qualifying). I am currently completing my Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow.

As a naturally outgoing and inquisitive person, I enjoy meeting new people from diverse backgrounds where I can learn from them and take newfound knowledge into practice. I believe I am a good judge of character and can forge relationships easily. As a born organiser, I am motivated to get things done, which is evident in both my studies and social life.

I am dedicated to advancing my legal career and securing a traineeship, which will provide the essential training and experience needed to qualify as a solicitor.

Accomplishments

  • I was successful in securing a placement studying for a semester at Australia’s current top university, The Australian National University. This was an amazing experience, where I met life-long friends and gained knowledge of the Australian legal system. I also planned a travel route through Australia, some travel being independent, which took a lot of courage and assisted me in improving how I take control of certain situations and to problem solve effectively and quickly.
  • I have achieved level 5 in the course, Teaching English as a Foreign Language. This qualification allows me to teach English to those who speak other languages. The course involved me spending valuable time and concise effort in producing suitable lesson plans, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and English skills. This course was hard work, however, I planned accordingly to ensure that I delivered a clear, informative, and enjoyable learning plan appropriate to the level of the class.
  • I was involved, and pitched in the live final of the Enterprise challenge 2023. The enterprise challenge provided an opportunity to gain essential business knowledge through workshops led by industry experts. I learned to validate and develop business ideas, culminating in the creation of a formal business proposal. Throughout the programme, I gained skills in research and analysis, proposal writing, public speaking, and strategic planning. Networking with peers and professionals fostered collaboration and relationship-building. The experience not only equipped me with practical enterprise skills but also instilled an entrepreneurial mindset, preparing me for my future career.
