With a curiosity for innovation and having a problem solving mindset, I am aspiring for a carrier in International Business Management. I like to think I am a valuable member of a team and enjoy working with others. I am a determined individual with good time management skills and is focused on completing objectives in a timely and professional manner.
I am responsible for:
- Collecting feedback from my peers on their opinions regarding the International Business Management Course and then feeding it back to MMU to help improve the course as much as possible.
- Presenting the students feedback in the student voice meetings.
I received employee of the month for my enthusiasm and hard work on the shop floor. I managed to gather hundreds of customer reviews about the store with majority being 9 and 10 out of 10. Most of these reviews included comments such as "very friendly and helpful staff". I also encourages most customers who came in the store to download the Adidas app and sign up to the Adiclub to start collecting reward points.
Other duties i was responsible for was:
- adapting my customer sales approach to suit each customers needs
- Greeting every customer in the store
- delivering smooth and efficient till transactions
- processing deliveries by tagging, pricing and putting stock onto the shop floor
- keeping the store clean as well as keeping the clothes neat
Throughout my A Level exams, I wanted more flexibility in my hours therefore got the opportunity to work on a zero hour contract with Peach Personal. I worked in the Tefal York store doing shifts for them as and when needed.
During my employment here I was responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service to every customer that came in the store. I would do this by having a great understanding of all products therefore could assist customers to the right product for them.
- Restocked the shop floor
- Assisted on processing deliveries
- Demonstrated the products to customers including: using coffee machines, air fryers and making pancakes with the induction hob
- Encouraged customers to sign up for the Tefal email subscription
I volunteered at St Leonard's Hospice charity events to help raise money and spread information on the organisation.
I volunteered at the Yorkshire marathon and the Yorkshire 10km run.
I was responsible for:
- Directing the runners in the right direction
- Handing out waters to the runners
-Being enthusiastic to encourage the runners to finish
- Looking out for the runners safety
I also volunteered at the York Balloon Festival
I was responsible for:
- Spreading information on the organisation and how to donate
- Fundraising at the entrance and exit of the Balloon Festival
- Assisting at the St Leonard's tombola
I was responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Processing transactions
- Pricing products
- Replenishing stock
- Potting plants to sell in store
- Keeping the store clean and tidy
I have completed the Duke of Edinburgh Award Bronze and Silver 2022.
