I am an enthusiastic climber who is keen to guide and support customers in their outdoor activities. Having enjoyed and diligently attended weekly NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme) sessions at Green Spider Climbing Centre, Hereford for over 6 years, working towards NICAS Level 5. I have learnt to be a reliable and a safety conscious climbing partner and to establish trust with my climbing partnerships/teams whilst having a great time. I can bring all of this experience to the position of a Customer Activity Assistant which would enable me to foster positive experiences for participants in their Go Ape adventures.
Both when climbing and in my wider experience of employment I work well in teams and also I am happy working alone to ensure that any job is completed satisfactorily and that customers are satisfied and happy.
Working efficiently both behind the scenes and front of house performing errands as required for a busy kitchen, such as preparing basic ingredients for the chefs and serving food orders, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the cafe which all contributes to a positive experience for customers.
As part of a wider housekeeping team I upheld a high level of cleanliness in guests bedrooms and bathrooms and outdoor glamping pods and assisted in the swift running of the kitchen at meal times.
With a team I helped to create a Maze Maize on the farm at Flanesford Priory, consequently I worked in the ticket office welcoming and guiding visitors to have a fun time in the maze.
Harvesting fruit and vegetables and doing general maintenance gardening work to maintain productive veg plots for their business delivering weekly organic veg boxes.
I was trained by my boss to carry out summer pruning of apple trees in an extensive permaculture orchard to ensure good cropping.
2022: Working with a team I helped to serve customers and stacked shelves at the Zero Waste stall at Ross Community Gardens, Ross on Wye. The charity distributed high quality surplus food from supermarkets to avoid waste.
2022: I assisted the technician in running a weekly STEM club for children at the Innovation Lab at Coleford library.
