  • Re-drafted the Society constitution and surrounding documents to ensure compliance with amended university and legal regulations, including data protection requirements and preventing and monitoring potential foreign interference.
  • Having succeeded in this role for my first term, was overwhelmingly re-elected to continue in the position.

Role:

  • To provide customers with prompt and detailed descriptions of menu items, as well as account for potential allergens or intolerances.
  • Resolve customer complaints or issues in a manner satisfactory to both them and the business.
  • Organise and run large functions such as wedding receptions, parties and corporate events involving careful planning with regard to budget, timings and preference.
  • Taking on shifts at short notice and working extra hours when needed to close or account for last minute staff absences or busy periods, demonstrating commitment, flexibility and an awareness of business needs.

Achievements:

  • Was quickly promoted to a customer-facing role having started back of house, given my customer service skills and organisational ability.
  • Assigned to run large-scale events, having shown aptitude for it, including receiving positive feedback from customers and management.

Took part in the charity PHAB (Physically Handicapped Able Bodied) programme, in which fellow students and I provided live-in 24/7 one-on-one care for disabled adults for 10 days whilst showing them around London and providing activities and entertainment.
