As a Platoon Sergeant in the Combined Cadet Force Army section, I am responsible for a platoon of over 50 people, which includes training of younger cadets

I am the Keeper of Bekynton, the school cafeteria My role is to act as a link between students and the cafeteria, including changing the menu

I have been elected a committee member of the school Geographical Society and the Secretary of the Chinese division of the East Asian Society For these, I will be responsible for inviting speakers and holding live events for students

Communication skills,

1 I gave a talk at my former primary school in Shanghai on English school life to a group of 200 parents This has improved my public speaking 2 My experience as a writer and editor for the Lexicon magazine has strengthened my written communication skills I am responsible for writing the occasional article in this annual school magazine This has taught me skills including prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines

Business Acumen,

I participated in the Hoberman Prize, a school startup prize I pitched a business idea of applying traditional Chinese medicine to horse health I have been a research analyst of the school Investment Society and have built a virtual investment portfolio which has generated a return of 60% over 3 years
