Exceptional student seeking Electrical / Mechanical Engineering position. Skilled in using CAD software to create more accurate design representation. Focused on analysing products and systems for safe and proper function.

During my time at Cleethorpes Academy, I attended a maths competition in Year 10 involving problem solving, time management and determination skills. These skills helped me focus on my career goals.

I have always been interested in fixing things which ranges from mending punctures on my bike to replacing the chain and general maintenance. Taking electrical items apart and putting them back together such as my PC Tower. In doing this I was able to understand each of the components and what the purpose of each were.

This process has led me to display a keen interest in Engineering, knowing how things work and what is required when something needs fixing. The practical skills gained and demonstrated in some of the projects I have been involved with has strengthened my decision to apply for an Apprenticeship in Engineering. I believe this is an area where I would enjoy and thrive and enable me to use my strengths to work towards a career full of creativity and contribute to a sustainable future.

As I have recently left School, I have not had the opportunity to gain any experience in an actual Engineering environment, which is why I am seeking an apprenticeship to enable me to gain the required knowledge and skills to progress. I have gained practical skills when creating a Solar Lantern during my Engineering lessons at school. This was made from a variety of materials using various tools to enable the process to be completed successfully. This along with other projects I have worked on are included within my Portfolio of practical skills and demonstration of the use of various tools.
