  • Rotating through one of the UK’s largest energy suppliers, focusing on renewable energy and net-zero. Fast track development programme to develop leadership skills enabling a well rounded capability.
  • Data-driven decision making to produce economic and sustainable results to the business. Key focus on building reporting tools to meet KPI's to deliver growth on weaker areas with limited resources.
  • 1st rotation within the Energy Economics team included forecasting industry costs, price cap analysis and supporting Ofgem Consultations. Understanding and managing circa £2b of industry cost with significant risk to OVO while ensuring regulatory compliance. Built out a suite of new Looker Studio reporting tools to enable visibility of performance and key figures.
  • 2nd rotation within the Energy Strategy team focused on the future of the energy system and implementing groundbreaking products. Responsibile for entering OVO into new flexibility markets such as ENW and NPg, ensuring legal and cyber compliance is followed. Carried out supplementary analysis on imbalance pricing for the commercial viability of a product proposition which included building a dashboard tool to access visible granular data.
  • 3rd rotation within the Energy Trading team (front office), focus on executing positive P&L within the market to reduce risk and maintain long term sustainability. Provide daily morning briefs to the trading team to enable market understanding and discuss possible trading strategies. Report on the status of the gas network and market, potential drivers and upcoming risks/ outtages.

Volunteering

STEM Ambassador (January 2025-Present)

STEM Ambassadors promote and embody the importance of STEM and how it can

make a real impact in the everyday lives of people across the globe. Volunteering

within schools, colleges and universities to discuss, tutor, mentor and promote

STEM to inspire the next generation. Promoting and aiding with STEM in deprived

institutions to help children and young adults reach their full potential.

Sustainability officer (22/23) Southampton University Students Union (SUSU)

Year-long volunteering alongside master’s programme. Working with the student

union and university management to develop and propose sustainability projects

throughout the year.


Student Innovation Project (2023) (SUSU)

One-month programme working on a highly competitive student innovation project.

Numerical calculations were undertaken to model the potential electricity production

on site. Presentation to senior management from the chool, including the executive

and head teachers.


Employability Ambassador (19/20) (SOGES)

One-year volunteering scheme. Organising promotional events for students with

businesses including Transport for London (TfL). Presentations, emails and meetings

were required, as was communication with members of staff and other students.
