FRANCIS JOHNSON

I started my professional journey at Ron Dearing UTC and it was there that I found a passion for Graphic Design and video editing. It was when I moved onto starting my A-levels that I decided that a career path in graphic design/media was a perfect fit for me. I was able to create different campaigns, photography, designing digital and print graphics, logo design, product design and more. I also took part in other minor qualifications such as web design, creative design and some game design.

I was recruited as a Marketing Apprentice for Spencer Group in the September of 2022. My time at Spencer Group was a great opportunity for me to display all that I had learned whilst at Ron Dearing UTC and more. I created numerous social media posts, shot and edited videos for internal and external use, I created email campaigns for a product that Spencer Group plan on selling to multiple of their clients called 'Datacow'. During my time at Spencer Group I also completed numerous admin tasks such as filing, printing, scanning, answering phone calls and working on reception. I also co-created the Yearly Christmas newsletter 2022 and 2023 which was sent out to over 50,000 clients and received a majority of positive feedback.

During my time at DM East Ltd, I had the opportunity to work across various digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and the Facebook Business Suite, helping to manage and promote the company’s diverse product range. DM East Ltd, consisting of three unique brands—CBD Asylum, The Shroom Shop, and GZR—specialized in CBD products and medicinal mushroom supplements. I played a key role in creating graphic designs for marketing campaigns and coordinating with partners to enhance brand visibility. In addition, I gained valuable experience with the Awin affiliate program, collaborating with external partners to expand the brands' reach and drive sales.

Hobbies: Taking long walks and keeping active, Spending time with friends and family, Listening to music, especially Alternative, Heavy Metal, and Pop, Volunteering to take care of pets. I also enjoy reading, although i don't always read I often find myself lost in a book, my favourite genres are horror, fantasy and mystery.
