I am an MA History graduate from Anglia Ruskin University. Passed with distinction with a dissertation on London during the 1940s, with a particular focus on London and its Metropolitan Borough of Hampstead during the Second World War. I am especially interested in researching social and cultural history, and in both macro- and micro-history, examining how different factors interact with each other.
I am highly skilled in archival research, which I am continuing up to the present moment, on the conservation of historically valuable buildings, in collaboration with academic staff at Anglia Ruskin University.
Aside from my studies and professional experience, I enjoy outdoor activities, such as going for long walks and hikes, reading around many various topics, including those about wildlife and natural spaces: I believe strongly in the constant improvement of my knowledge, and am particularly fascinated by topics such as how the natural and constructed environment can influence individual experience. I enjoy writing, and have an affinity for antique items and books.
