• I joined a multidisciplinary practice, which took over my established private practice, on a part-time basis in November 2021. In this role, I have successfully maintained and provided dental care for both my existing and new patients. I have also had the opportunity to collaborate closely with other specialist colleagues in managing complex dental cases.

• As the Principal Dentist at Danson Park Dental Practice from November 2007 to November 2021, I played a pivotal role in establishing and managing this family-focused private practice. Initially joining on a part-time basis during my specialty training at Guys Hospital,
• At Danson Park Dental Practice, our guiding principle was to treat patients as we would want our own family to be treated. This patient-centered approach created a warm and welcoming environment, where patients felt valued and cared for. As the Principal Dentist, I took great pride in leading by example and ensuring that every interaction with our patients exceeded their expectations.
• In addition I also took on the responsibility of business development and the daily operations of the practice. Without any managerial assistance, I successfully oversaw the smooth running of the practice and ensured that our team of over 10 employees and self-employed clinicians worked collaboratively and efficiently.
• My tenure as the Principal Dentist at Danson Park Dental Practice allowed me to gain valuable experience in both clinical dentistry and practice management. Through effective leadership and a patient-centric approach, I contributed to the growth and success of the practice.

I was responsible for the growth and practical training of 12 students each year during their clinical year.

I took great pride in mentoring and guiding these students, and preparing weekly tutorials allowed me to share my knowledge and expertise with the students, keeping them up to date with the latest advancements in dental practices. I focused on fostering their critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and clinical decision-making capabilities.

Over the years, I have seen many of these students thrive and go on to become successful dental professionals in their own right. It was immensely rewarding to play a role in their development and witness their growth and confidence as they transitioned from students to practitioners.

• With my experience in oral surgery, I performed a range of minor surgical procedures, including tooth extractions, wisdom tooth removal, dental implant placement, and biopsies. I worked closely with the general dental team, collaborating on treatment plans and providing guidance on the management of complex cases.

• During my postgraduate training at Guys, I simultaneously held a part-time position at a private practice, where I gained invaluable practical experience and continued to develop my skills as a dental professional. This dual role allowed me to balance my academic pursuits with real-world patient care, enhancing my overall training and preparing me for a successful

• I had the privilege of working in an established Maxillo-Facial unit under the supervision of two excellent Maxillofacial Surgeons. This invaluable experience allowed me to gain knowledge and confidence in treating complex and medically compromised patients.

• Working in this unit allowed me to gain valuable experience and enhance my confidence in performing sedation and treating complex minor Oral Surgery cases. I actively participated in sedation procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. Additionally, I successfully managed cases requiring general anesthesia, providing optimal care for patients undergoing more complex procedures.

• I have had the privilege of gaining experience in working within an NHS setting in a general dental practice. This invaluable experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with providing dental care in a public healthcare setting.

• Working in emergency dental settings, I have encountered a wide range of urgent dental cases. I have successfully managed dental emergencies such as severe toothaches, abscesses, dental trauma, and oral infections. I am adept at quickly assessing the situation, providing immediate pain relief, and formulating appropriate treatment plans to address the underlying issue.
