  • Conduct aviation security oversight compliance monitoring of stakeholders, including inspections, tests, surveys and audit, as well as write reports on the oversight activities conducted
  • Developing and maintaining the National Civil Aviation Security Programme of Nigeria
  • Develop and review security programmes and other technical documents to ensure compliance with international and national requirements and make recommendation for approval where appropriate
  • Develop other guidance material (such as checklists and review guidelines) required for oversight duties
  • Evaluate Aviation Security incident/breaches and review and recommend appropriate Aviation Security technology and or sanction in conjunction with NCAA legal department
  • Investigate and review civil aviation security related accidents and incidents
  • Carry out vulnerability assessment of international and domestic airport security systems to confirm that the aviation security activities of aerodrome operator, aircraft operator, security services providers and Government agencies involved are coordinated and mutually supportive
  • Development of Cyber Security guidelines to Civil Aviation
  • Coordinate the security aspect of Facilitation and manage Aviation Security Database in Nigeria
  • Treat internal memos and external letters as assigned
  • Involved in the training of industry stakeholders
  • Supervise subordinates in the discharge of the duties
  • Act as secretary in high security meetings of the organization
  • Provide guidance to stakeholder requiring assistance in the development or review of their programmes
