Dedicated Marine engineer / Hotel Service Engineer with over 20 years experience of working in the marine industry onboard as well as being based in the ship yard in Italy as a company’s representative during new build periods. I have started my carrier as cadet on tankers and sailed on container ships for the first 5 years and then moved to luxury cruise ships where I’ve spent the last 14 years. I’ve been Hotel Service Engineer for the last 12 years working on different class ships. I have been part of 4 successful new build deliveries, worked in Italy almost two years for the last 2 new builds and another year for previous 2 ships. From my position I had to deal with shipyard personnel as well as with owner representative inspectors which gave me the opportunity to gain a lot of insight experience. During this time we undertook Factory Approval Tests, on-site commissioning, automation system set-up along with ordering spares parts and ensuring our company procedural day to day running would be in place for the first sailing. Being part of such an experience it’s a real opportunity to enhance my knowledge and develop my skills, getting to know how the shipyard works from different perspective it’s a great plus. Moving forward I would like to join a shore side based position where I can transfer my experience in the cruise line industry and apply that to develop my skills further. Along my career I have proven that I am a good team player as well as dealing with individual tasks very well. I am also easy to adapt on new situations/challenges.
