  • As an apprentice for XPO Logistics, I have been working in a all of their departments as well as developing my knowledge regarding health and safety and the warehousing industry at their ASOS site in Grimethorpe and working with Barnsley College
  • Because of this apprenticeship I have received the Level 2 Qualification in Warehousing and Storage, but most importantly, I have learned all there is to learn about the Inbound, Outbound and Stock Control departments
  • Working with XPO Logistics I have also developed my teamwork skills as well as my skills regarding working towards a target

  • At Amazon, it was the same Warehousing work, but they were all working using heavy machinery such as Forklifts and PUP trucks

At Apollo I am a Lead Driver which means I am the model for the rest of the team to follow, while on road it is the exact same job as it was at PanAm Logistic Solutions but I am also a Part Time Manager during the weekend and occasionally during the week to cover for the full time managers (flexible work schedule).

  • Ensuring the whole operation runs smoothly every shift.
  • Ensuring the fleet is in a safe condition for the daily operation every morning before the shift, changing tyres and parts that are no longer safe.

  • Making sure everyone completes work within the time allocated for the routes and offering support for those that are behind the schedule.
  • Scheduling the work for the next shift everyday and making changes for the schedule on last minute emergency no-shows so that we can provide the perfect service for Amazon and their customers.
