Independent Avon Sales Leader

Self Employed - Avon Cosmetics
Working from home
01.2006 - Current

I started that Avon when my son was 3 months old as a way of getting out of the house with a couple of customers, this was the start of something I never expected and have since built a good retail side of the business through networking and the face to face at events. This has enabled me to have a strong relationship with key clients and repeat business.

Customer service and product knowledge is key to a successful retail business, of any size or location. I have take been involved in the development of Avon training to deliver quality product training and also taken part in a unique training course, for Avon, run by Sara Davis OBE, Dragons Den and Crafty Companion on making every customer a VIP. As a small business and as a Representative customer loyalty is important to get repeat business through returning customers.

As part of my confidence building and personal development I have worked with both the UK and the Global teams, over various projects, including training, product testing and development. I became a Training Ambassador within the UK Market to ensure that training was 'fit for purpose' and to up skill on social media.

The majority of my business is in recruitment and growth. Recruitment is usually face to face at job fairs, shopping centres and networking. My main aim of the business is enabling anyone to take the step into business ownership at whatever size.

Therefore my role is to boast team morale by fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Of course, sales for them is the most important to ensure that commission payments are their earnings, so I have developed new sales strategies for increased market penetration, by significant growth in the customer base. I encourage them to follow the simple training programmes to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
