I have 3 adult children who have a collection of difficulties and this is where my current life, lived experience has given me a wide aray of knowledge. Some of my experiences are Autism, ADHD, Adoption, Attachment, Auditory processing disorder, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Pathalogical Demand Avoidance, Teenage pregnancy, Domestic abuse in teenager relationship and much more.
Inspired Foundations aimed to support those living or working with children who were looked-after, adopted or vulnerable. They provide basic and advanced training, as well as on-site training for schools and other settings. They were dedicated to making a difference to the lives of children who have been effected by early childhood trauma. Within this organisation I provided basic office duties, answering the telephone, doing mail outs, invoicing, debt collection.
My other role was to mentor primary school children, one to one within their school setting. I visited on a weekly basis and delivered activities bespoke to the child, to help aid their confidence and aid them to function easier within the classroom setting. I liased with school staff and carers to help me understand the difficulties and then pass back advice to help staff and carers to support the child.
