People Operations Manager

Transitioned to EX.CO as part of the Bibblio acquisition. Reporting directly to the CFO, responsible for managing European People operations and completing internal strategy projects.

  • Managed the transition of Bibblio employees to EX.CO. 100% of Bibblio employees have been transferred to EX.CO
  • Responsible for the operational transition of Bibblio's suppliers and customers to EX.CO. Achieved 90% of Bibblio's ARR that was successfully transitioned to EX.CO
  • Set-up new London office to merge the existing EX.CO team with the Bibblio team and to align with EX.CO's 'back to office' policy.
  • Proposed a new global employee expenses policy and process solution

Head of People Operations

Head of Operations & People: Taking Bibblio from seed round to acquisition by EX.CO. Reporting to the CEO, I managed a wide range of operational functions with the flexibility to deep-dive into specific departments as required to fulfil the Founder's vision for Bibblio to be the best content recommendation and personalisation SaaS solution for digital publishers.

Set-up operational processes for each department:

  • Sales & Marketing: Implemented Inbound/Outbound sales & marketing funnels managed through HubSpot and Pipedrive.
  • Software Development Team: Implemented a Kanban board and backlog process via JIRA as well a bi-weekly sprint.
  • Customer Success: Implemented a customer success team and customer invoicing system via our API platform 3scale and Xero.
  • KPI & OKR: Developed KPI and OKR's for each function as well focusing on aligning the team with our North Star Metric based upon daily recommendation volume.

Talent Acquisition & People Management: Hiring and retaining the best talent for Bibblio.

  • Managed the talent acquisition process end to end across the business from Commercial Sales Director to Software Engineers to Business Development Reps.
  • Championed a people-first and inclusive culture at Bibblio. Average employee tenure of 4.5 years.

Procurement/Supplier Management: Procured and managed all key suppliers for Bibblio. I successfully negotiated deals with AWS, GCS and Redis to enable us to get credits and long-term contracts with preferential rates. Estimated overall saving of 30% in annuals fees.

Financial Reporting to Stakeholders: Managing the annual budget, P&L forecasts to ensure that Bibblio has the runway to sustain its operations and growth commitments.

Early-stage growth operations:

  • Assisting fundraising activities by providing supporting operational insights (forecasting, customer cohort analysis, operational growth roadmaps etc.).

International Market Expansion Manager: January 2014 to September 2015

  • SAP Implementation into Vita Coco Japan: I was appointed by the Global Team to implement SAP into the Vita Coco Japan office to integrate them into global SAP network.
  • Pallet/Container Re-configuration: I initiated a 3 month project to re-configure our pallets and container case configurations to fit more cases/stock per pallet and shipping containers. This reduced our shipping and storage case costs and resulted in savings of £150,000 per year.

Customer Demand Manager: September 2012 to January 2014

  • European Demand Planning: Initiated a Sales & Operations planning process, this process facilitated the switch from top-down to bottom-up forecasting. This improved the Vita Coco Europe forecast accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for managing relationships with our 3rd party logistic providers.. This involved weekly performance review calls to resolve any logistical issues impacting their SLA targets. Communicating any short-dated stock risks to the Sales & Marketing teams. Responsible for reporting monthly and annual stock reconciliations to the Finance director.

I worked on two of Accenture's diamond clients. Through these roles I developed a foundation in project management, service management (ITOL), stakeholder management, technical documentation, user experience, user support & training, deployment and process improvement design.

Additional responsibilities: Led a Supply Chain Think Tank session for senior Accenture managers/executives to explore the use of social media in supply chain and published an article afterwards on the outcomes of the session; elected on to the analyst social committee; St Andrews University recruitment representative; produced a video to promote the achievements of senior women in Accenture.
