  • Assisted the Network Manager to set up Self-Harm Network Scotland locality services and portal.
  • Mentored fellow senior practitioners into their assistant manager roles.
  • Took a lead role in the recruitment induction of peer practitioners. Lead, worked alongside the Glasgow Self-Harm team mentoring, training, and supervising my peer practitioners.
  • Took on board all team ideas and with the guidance of the network manager I lead the team and brought all service ideas to fruition.
  • Adapted lead by example and supported my team through many service adaptations and changes in direction as this was a pilot.
  • Supported fellow seniors to build referral pathways in Dundee, Highlands and highlands, while also building my own referral pathways in Glasgow.

  • Supervised up to five peer practitioners and worked closely with HR when dealing with sensitive situations.

  • Contributed to the Scottish Government creation of a self-harm strategy and raised awareness of this.
  • Was interviewed by STV to promote the service and speak passionately about the difference peer support can make.
  • Made a video of how I work in a compassionate way to put on Penumbra's website.
  • Wrote an article for the local newspaper to advertise our service.
  • Complete quarterly reports for the Scottish Government.
  • Offer person-centred self-harm support to empower individuals on their journeys of recovery.
  • Teach coping strategies and self management strategies.
  • Use self reflection and encourage this within my team.
