My professional life has included many varied roles over the years. The thread tying these varied roles together has been the dedication to improving the wellbeing of others. Helping and supporting people both physically, mentally, emotionally and practically.

I have brilliant interpersonal skills and great written communication, carefully recording details, creating plans and liaising with others within various professions. Building strong relationships and having a good rapport with others has been key to all my roles. Customer care has been paramount, looking after people, meeting their needs with kindness and compassion. Problem solving and listening attentively to offer the best support where needed. .

Enjoying being part of a team when able to be, yet also very able to work alone and under pressure.

The varied roles worked in over the years are:-

Massage Therapist and Yoga Teacher. ( Previous 10 years+) Hairdresser, Family Advice support worker- Social Services, Family Group Conference Worker- Social services. Children's residential social worker, safer streets Schools worker.

Being a self motivated, self starter. Having good numeracy skills has certainly been helpful and the ability to learn new IT skills when needed has been crucial.

The hotel is a 'high end' 'Luxury' establishment in the village of Braemar nestled in the Cairngorm National Park that attracts an array of tourists and visitors seeking out a unique experience.
  • Delivered exceptional customer service for repeat business and positive reviews.
  • Addressed client problems such as pain and tight muscles or fascia through therapeutic massage techniques.

Over the last 5 years I have lived between the 2 communities. Balmoral and Newquay. Initially moving to Aberdeenshire for my partners job working on the Royal Estate. I moved back to Cornwall for a period with the for various reasons and continued to teach yoga and do massage treatments around my other work and continued to service clients in Aberdeenshire when visiting. I have again returned to the Royal Estate of Balmoral and again am slowly building up my work and clients back in the region.

  • To work remotely and hybrid- visiting schools to offer young people sessions around Anti Social Behaviour as part of Safer streets project.
  • Developed role and created lesson plans.
  • Delivered lessons about Anti social behaviour and pro social behaviour to young people who are struggling to maintain positive behaviour at school.
  • To help guide young people to learn strategies to calm their minds by instructing breathwork and meditation, hoping to share tools that young people can use at home to help shift moods and manage emotions.
