- Worked in a team of four over a week, designing the most effective flood defence project - inspired by recent floods in the Cockermouth area.
- Learned about and took up different job roles and responsibilities in that industry, such as: civil engineers, architects, design managers.
- Observed the flood defenses at Whinlatter firsthand, understanding significance of a design that is both efficient and not harmful to nature.
- Collaborated as a team in order to design and deliver a final presentation to Morgan Sindall employees in front of the other teams - won 1st place.
Veterinary Assistant (Shadowing)

- Became familiar with the various job roles and responsibilities , from the veterinary surgeons, to the receptionists and the significance of each position.
- Witnessed a variety of surgeries in the operation room on an array of different animals.
- Explored the biological aspects , such as blood testing machinery and vaccines.
- Used my free time to assist clean up the surgery room, packing surgery kits; the kennels and the exam room.
