Finlay William Duffy

I work in one of the largest stores in the country as a sales assistant. The role demands excellent levels of product knowledge across various areas as well as the highest standards of customer care. Teamwork is essential to ensuring the store meets targets and demands and I excel in these areas which has meant that I was chosen to be a Supplier Experience Specialist for HP. In particular my excellent sales record, customer service skills and ability to adapt to all roles assigned to me were the reasons I was selected for this position ahead of my peers.

A restaurant is a fast paced environment which required excellent attention to detail and collaborative team work to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction. In this employment I demonstrated the following skills:

• Remained calm under pressure, ensuring better performance during peak hours.
• Managed restaurant closing duties, from cleaning dining areas to cashing up tills.
• Stepped up to take on managerial duties and run the restaurant during busy periods including delegating duties to colleagues to deliver smooth service.

In the restaurant I also took on additional roles to cover for staff shortages helping to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant, this included Kitchen Porter and food preparation duties. This demonstrates my ability to adapt quickly to changing business demands and work well under pressure to maintain effective business operations.
